What Is KickFit Minds?

KickFit Minds is an 8-week group program for teenage boys that blends martial-arts-based
movement with structured discussion and practical activities. It’s designed to support
emotional development, social skills, and mental wellbeing, in a format that engages young men.

Built and delivered by a qualified counsellor and personal trainer, this program meets teens
where they’re at, without judgment or clinical pressure

The Re-engagement Effect

Many young men don’t shut down because they don’t care — they shut down because they
don’t feel connected.

When young men are physically active, part of a group, and given space to express
themselves without judgement, they start to re-engage — with themselves, with their peers,
and with life in general.

Here’s how it plays out:

• – A young man reconnects with himself → He begins to re-engage with others

• – He reconnects with his community → He becomes more involved in school or social
spaces

• – He reconnects with school → He starts to re-engage with his future

KickFit Minds is built around this exact process. We meet young men at their level and help
them build momentum — not just in the program, but in every area of their life.

• – For schools: That means improved focus, attendance and behaviour

• – For youth services: It means more trust, more participation, and better outcomes

• – For parents: It means a son who starts to show up again — with confidence and
purpose

For Schools

Many young men disengage in traditional wellbeing programs. KickFit Minds combines
structure, movement, and conversation to increase engagement, improve behaviour, and
build connection.

Benefits for schools:

• – In-school delivery available during class or wellbeing periods
• – Strong alignment with social-emotional learning (SEL) and pastoral care
• – Improves peer relationships and classroom engagement
• – Boosts confidence, motivation, and self-discipline
• – Reduces behavioural issues linked to emotional shutdown or disconnection

Program content is flexible and can align with school values, wellbeing goals, or specific
student needs.

For Youth Organisations

Youth centres and services often struggle to engage boys in programs that deal with
emotions or behaviour. KickFit Minds uses movement to build trust and open the door to
deeper conversations.

Why it works in youth settings:

• – Delivered in a group format — max 12 per group
• – Works well for boys resistant to 1:1 support
• – Flexible delivery in community spaces or mobile setups
• – Builds real-life skills that carry beyond the program
• – Creates group cohesion, accountability, and leadership

Sessions are practical, low-pressure, and grounded in evidence-based counselling
techniques — but delivered in a way young men relate to.

For Parents

You don’t need to send your son to therapy to get him support.

KickFit Minds gives teenage boys tools to build confidence, resilience, and connection —
without feeling like they’re being “fixed” or forced to talk. It’s a safe, active space where they
learn to open up, take responsibility, and grow into the kind of young man they want to be.

What your son will get:

• – Improved confidence and mindset
• – Better communication and peer relationships
• – Real strategies for stress, emotions, and decision-making
• – Support from a group of like-minded teens
• – Physical activity that boosts mental wellbeing

Run by a qualified counsellor and trainer, this program is built to be safe, respectful and
empowering.
