Who We Are

Bloke2Bloke supports teenage boys through dynamic group programs and counselling that really connects. We work with young men who are feeling disconnected, stuck, shut down or angry and give them the tools to build confidence, direction and trust in themselves.

Our approach

We believe every young man has the potential to be someone he’s proud of.

We’re not here to tell him who to be, but to offer the challenge, connection and understanding that can help him get there.

  • Be genuine  — everything we say and do is with sincerity

  • Make it active — movement breaks down invisible walls and barriers

  • Build connection — confidence grows when they feel understood

  • Support personal growth — mentally, emotionally, and physically

KickFit Minds

Our core program for teenage boys aged 12–16

KickFit Minds is an 8-week group program that combines martial-arts-based movement with guided discussion and practical tools for self-development.

It’s designed for boys who don’t usually respond to traditional support — and it works because it’s built around how they operate, in a format they relate to. Movement breaks invisible barriers. Structure builds engagement. Group work builds connection.

Whether your son or students are struggling with confidence, showing signs of withdrawal, or just seem lost — this is a space where boys learn to show up, take ownership, and grow.

The Re-engagement Effect

“Most boys don’t shut down because they don’t care — they shut down because they don’t feel connected.”

The re-engagement effect is a guiding principle behind everything we do at Bloke2Bloke. Here’s how we’ve seen it play out

Reconnect

Rebuild

Re-engage

🔹 Step 1: Reconnect with Self

A young man reconnects with himself → He begins to re-engage with his community
When a young bloke feels disconnected, the first step is often helping him build a better relationship with himself. Through real conversations and small wins, he starts to see his own value. With that shift, confidence grows and he naturally begins to open up and connect with the people around him.

🔹 Step 2: Rebuild confidence in self and others

He reconnects with his community → He becomes more involved in his education or social spaces
As he rebuilds confidence in himself and others, he starts to feel like he belongs somewhere again. That sense of connection often shows up in the way he interacts with mates, teachers or local groups. Feeling part of something bigger encourages him to step into school or social spaces with a stronger sense of purpose.

🔹 Step 3: Re-engage with Life

He reconnects with his education → He starts to re-engage with his future
Once school or learning feels less like a burden and more like a stepping stone, he starts to see the bigger picture. Re-engaging with education opens doors, and he begins to think about what’s possible — not just for now, but for the kind of future he wants to create.

Who Runs It

I’m Andy — an ACA registered counsellor.
I’ve worked with teenage boys across schools, community programs and 1:1 settings.
I started Bloke2Bloke to create the kind of support I wish I’d had as a teenager — relatable, practical, and grounded in genuine connection.

What Other Blokes Are Saying

At KickFit Minds we’re proud of the difference our program makes, not just for the young blokes who take part, but also for the schools and staff who see the change first-hand. Listen to a student share how KickFit Minds has helped him build confidence and push forward, as well as from a student support officer who has seen the program in action

Chase: Year 9 Ormeau Woods

“The program helped me develop my leadership skills and gave me the chance to understand what other kids were thinking, and to see if they thought the same as me”

Simon: Student Support Officer Ormeau Woods

“I highly recommend KickFit Minds. It truly engages students, and we’ve seen real benefits—from improved attendance to greater respect in the classroom. The program tackles important issues while supporting both physical and mental health””
